Thermal imaging (Thermography)  is a method of inspecting electrical and mechanical equipment by obtaining heat distribution pictures. This inspection method is based on the fact that most components in a system show an increase in temperature when malfunctioning.

As physical contact with the system is not required, inspections can be made under full operational conditions resulting in no loss of production or downtime.

Health & Safety and planning is key when carrying out thermal imaging surveys. At Modserve we will assess the fault current at each switchboard prior to starting work and develop a health & safety management plan and detailed risk analysis to help protect our staff and your business.

Modserve has an experienced team with extensive knowledge of  Thermal Imaging surveys. All our staff are NZ registered electricians and  trained in fault finding of electrical systems. A report is provided to our customers at the completion of each Thermal Imaging survey. This report will highlight any electrical failures or non compliances as per the NZ electrical regulations. We will make recommendations for any replacements and/or preventative maintenance that is needed. Any urgent work that poses risk to your business will be highlighted immediately.
